The city has 15 roads marked for the road work being done by Bluffton Paving. They hope to start Wednesday, October 16, 2024, with a portion of Robb Avenue between Cole and Metcalf. There are streets all around the city scheduled for resurfacing. The contractor will put up no parking signs a few days before to let residents know they will be coming. The public works department asks motorists and residents to find other routes during the repaving process as partial lane closures are expected.

The 1.2 million-dollar project is being funded through state and local funds.

"The reason we do the streets we do is we start seeing some surface failures. Those surface failures will soon turn into potholes. It's either we repair the potholes or we can just repair the streets," stated Ross Vennekotter, civil engineer II for the City of Lima.
