Area preschoolers and their families gathered at the McElroy Educational Center to enjoy the changing of the season. This edition of "Nature Pals" included plenty of hands-on activities, a chance to read a book, and a group sit down to learn about what changes the children are seeing this time of year. Parents enjoy bringing the kids out and one dad got his first taste of "Nature Pals".

Unity Elementary helped spread the joy of reading to one another. Unity Elementary school fourth-graders helped read books to preschoolers in order to help them understand the importance of reading -- especially at an early age. Teachers state that the peer-to-peer relationship helps get students accustomed to helping one another,
It was Dr. Seuss's birthday and it was a party at Lima City Schools Unity Elementary as preschoolers had green eggs and ham and learned about rhyming and numbers. Teachers say that activities like these are good for the kids.
