A major water line break forced officials in Cridersville to shut off water service to the entire village while crews work to make repairs. Once service is restored, a boil water advisory will be issued for all residents until further notice.

With these cold temperatures, water mains have been in need of thawing. The City of Lima Utility Fields Service crews are actively responding to several frozen water mains.
“We're the last line of defense,” Welker said. “We feel strongly that we're here to protect the environment, and it's a complicated procedure, but we're going to explain to them how we use biology to get waste out of water so it can be returned back into the water use stream.”
