Richey was sentenced to 12 years in prison for when he threatened former Putnam County judge, and now Allen County assistant prosecutor, Randall Basinger. Four videos were discovered on Richey's Facebook page from last summer. He says he won't die until the man that ruined his life, his children and grandchildren all die, but he mentions no name.

Richey faces charges of retaliation against, who the prosecutor believes, is Randall Basinger, former Putnam County prosecutor and judge who crossed paths with Richey. The jury was shown part of a September Facebook video, where Richey first talks about suicide. Then he says he won't die until the man that ruined his life, his children, and grandchildren all die. Richey does not name a person. Three other videos came to light through investigation that made similar threats but doesn't name a specific person. Richey was living in the Columbus area when he made the September video.

A Lima man scheduled to have a trial on Tuesday agreed to a negotiated plea before the trial could begin. Justin Meeks entered pleas of no contest to kidnapping, robbery, and extortion. Based on the facts of the case, the judge found Meeks guilty on all charges. Meeks was in a traffic crash back on Feb. 4, 2018, on Allentown Road with James Featherstone. He followed Featherstone to UNOH, hit and forced Featherstone into his car. Meeks took $25 from him and his phone. Then Meeks forced him to an ATM where got another $60 before putting Featherstone back in his car.

A little over half an hour is all it took for the jury to return a decision in the trial against Avery Ward. The 12 member jury found him guilty on one count each of rape and felonious assault. During closing arguments the state asked the jury, how could they ignore what the victim had testified?
