The call came in just after 8 a.m. Monday morning that shots were fired at a residence in the 900 block of East 2nd Street. Police did say that the home was struck by one round.
Jimmie Makley says, “Pepper in the eyes would be you get them in the eyes. And soccer kick would be to kick them in the legs. (And why would you do that to someone?) It’s um, defense so you can, so like if they tried to take you.”
Lima residents have one more chance to get their leaves pick up this season. The Street Department is finishing up the first round of leaf pick up on Friday, and will be starting their final round on Monday December 13th. So, they asking residents to rake their leaves to the curb this weekend, for crews to pick up. If you can’t get them raked up this weekend, you can get bags at the street department, at 900 S. Collett Street. and set your leaves out with the garbage. So far, leaf pick up has been going pretty well this year.
