Community Relief Ministries is seeking volunteers for its Ignite ministry, which helps homeowners with repair and improvement projects throughout the region. The organization has upcoming service projects planned in Lima, St. Marys, Van Wert and Darke County this summer.
The students spent their time packing senior boxes at the West Ohio Food Bank. Each student was responsible for packing specific food items, such as cereal, canned vegetables, and shelf-stable milk. The hands-on service project provided the students with an understanding of how their efforts would impact those in need.
Community Relief Ministries is looking for people to share the love of Christ through service projects. This is the 5th year that they will be holding their Ignite Lima event to help others in need with home improvement projects. Thanks to people volunteering, they have been able to help between 300 and 400 families in the three areas that they serve over the past five years. Now they are looking for volunteers to help with roofing, painting, electrical, landscaping, and just general cleanup.
