LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Community Relief Ministries is looking for people to share the love of Christ through service projects.
This is the 5th year that they will be holding their Ignite Lima event to help others in need with home improvement projects. Thanks to people volunteering, they have been able to help between 300 and 400 families in the three areas that they serve over the past five years. Now they are looking for volunteers to help with roofing, painting, electrical, landscaping, and just general cleanup.
"We are bringing the mission trip to you. You don't have to take time off of work to go overseas and raise funds; you can do it right here. It's free, and we are going to provide you with everything that you need," says Matt Naylor, Community Relief Ministries. "If you do want to take a day or two off of work, we encourage that as well. It is just a fantastic time to show the love of Christ to the neighbors that you have. We need volunteers of all skill levels. We definitely need people who are skilled, skilled tradesmen that know how to do plumbing and electrical. Really help with food; help deliver materials; there is somewhere for everyone to get involved."
The Lima Ignite is June 5th through the 8th, and the Van Wert Ignite is July 18th through the 20th. If you would like to be involved, you can go to communityrelief.net to pre-register.
