LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Kids ages seven to nine have a chance to learn how animals survive in the wild this week at Hermon Woodlands.

"I'm hoping that they realize that every animal is unique in its own way and that is to make them able to thrive where they are. So just because snakes look a little different than bunnies look, they're both important and they both do different things just to make sure they can thrive where they need to thrive," said naturalist Haley Williams.

The kids learned these lessons through games, including a scavenger hunt.

"We're splitting up into two groups, and we are going to hide these blue cards. and we'll see how long it takes one group to find the blue cards. And then after both groups try to find the blue cards, we'll see how long that took and then do like camouflage cards," said third grader Eli Adams.
