LIMA, Ohio — Elida stayed perfect on the summer, defeating Lima Central Catholic 13-3 in six innings in an Allen County matchup at Ed Sandy Field.
The Bulldogs broke the game open in the fourth inning, starting with Carson Kirk’s RBI grounder that brought home Jay Shoemaker to make it 5-2. Colton Graham then delivered a two-run double into the gap in right-center, pushing the lead to 7-2.
Jonan Snyder followed with a triple to right, scoring Graham and extending the Elida advantage to 8-2 as the Bulldogs kept the pressure on.
LCC attempted to respond in the fifth when Nino Rodriguez grounded out to short and Michael Quatman scored to trim the deficit, but Elida answered again. Snyder later added two more RBIs, finishing with four on the night as the Bulldogs pulled away for the run-rule win.
Elida improves to 5-0 on the summer with the dominant victory.
