LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Communities across Ohio are set to receive major investments after Gov. Mike DeWine signed Senate Bill 450, releasing nearly $4 billion for projects throughout the state.
The funding will support dozens of projects aimed at strengthening communities, developing Ohio's workforce and boosting the state's economy. All 88 Ohio counties will receive some level of funding for local improvements.
Allen County will receive nearly $9 million, while Hancock County is slated to receive approximately $7.7 million.
Other area allocations include approximately $800,000 for Auglaize County, just under $1 million for Hardin County, more than $2.4 million for Mercer County, just over $900,000 for Putnam County and more than $1 million for Van Wert County.
State officials said the funding will be used to invest in projects that improve local infrastructure, support economic development efforts and create opportunities for future workforce growth.
The legislation represents one of the state's latest efforts to invest in communities of all sizes across Ohio and provide resources for projects that will have long-term impacts on residents and local economies.
