August 12, 2024, Press Release from the FBI Cleveland Division: [Cleveland, OH.] Today, FBI Cleveland announced the disruption of “Radar/Dispossessor,” the criminal ransomware group led by the online moniker ‘Brain,’ and the dismantling of three US servers, three UK servers, 18 German servers, eight US-based criminal domains, and one German-based criminal domain. Since its inception in August 2023, Radar/Dispossessor has quickly developed into an internationally impactful ransomware group, targeting, and attacking small to mid-sized businesses and organizations from the production, development, education, healthcare, financial services, and transportation sectors. Originally focused on entities in the USA, the investigation discovered 43 companies as victims of the attacks, from countries including Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Honduras, India, Canada, Croatia, Peru, Poland, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates and Germany. During its investigation, the FBI identified a multitude of websites associated with Brain and his team.

May 14, 2024, Press Release from the Department of Public Safety: COLUMBUS — Free hands-on training is available this summer for teen drivers in Ohio to practice crash avoidance techniques and gain the experience necessary to become safer drivers. The Ohio Traffic Safety Office (OTSO) is partnering with three Advanced Driver Training programs to increase access to these specially designed classes that address the leading causes of teen crashes.
The West Ohio Community Action Partnership has provided information on some of the assistance programs being offered.

Located in the Young Adult section of the library. On Wednesday, June 5th, hiker and speaker Jeff Alt will give two presentations at the library. The first, which is geared for children ages 5-12, is titled National Park Time Traveling Adventures, will be held at 6:00 p.m. The second program, which is geared for adults, is titled A Walk for Sunshine Appalachian Trail Show and starts at 7:00 p.m.
The Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce is looking for volunteers to assist with their "Solar Smash Bash" on the Saturday before the eclipse. They have spots for people to help with the kids' zone and greeters at entrances, among other activities.
6th Ward Councilman Derry Glenn is inviting kids out to his annual Easter egg hunt at Hover Park. Children ages 5 to 12 have a chance to find special golden eggs that will be hidden around the park. Each kid who finds a golden egg will get to open their own savings account at Superior Credit Union.
Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose met with the Auglaize County Sheriff's Office to discuss measures in place to keep all polling places open. No locations were damaged in the Auglaize area, and those that did lose power are running generators to remain open for early voting. The state is also checking in with poll workers to see if they're alright and will still be able to work on election day.
