WAPAKONETA, OH (WLIO) - Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose stopped in Wapakoneta to make sure residents can still exercise their right to vote after last night's storms.

LaRose met with the Auglaize County Sheriff's Office to discuss measures in place to keep all polling places open. No locations were damaged in the Auglaize area, and those that did lose power are running generators to remain open for early voting.

The state is also checking in with poll workers to see if they're alright and will still be able to work on election day. In Logan County, Indian Lake High School should still be available to voters.

Of course, again, protecting people—those that had their homes destroyed, that's the first priority. But from what we can tell, it seems like they'll be able to also accommodate the polling location or potentially move it to someplace very close by," commented Frank LaRose, (R) Ohio Secretary of State.

Early voting will be held during normal hours through Sunday, and polling locations will be open normally on Tuesday as well.
