LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — A woman was injured and another is in custody after a fight led to a stabbing early Tuesday morning.

According to the Allen County Jail, 44-year-old Joeann Brown has been charged with felonious assault with a weapon.

Lima police say officers were called to a fight in the 200 block of South Collett Street just before 3 a.m. There, they found a woman with a non-life-threatening wound. She was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Brown was located nearby and arrested.

On 5/5/2026 at approximately 2:50 am officers were dispatched to an altercation that occurred in the 200 Blk of S. Collett St. When officers arrived on scene they located a female suffering from a non-life threatening stab wound. She was transported to a local hospital where she was treated for her injuries. The suspect was located in a nearby apartment and taken into custody and transported to the Allen County Jail where she was charged with felonious assault.
