An Elida man received minor injuries after the semi he was driving rolled on its side after going in the ditch. The Ohio State Highway Patrol says that 46-year-old William Benfield was driving east on State Route 81 when he got off the right side of the road around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. The semi continued into the ditch and rolled over on its side. Benfield was taken to St. Rita's to be checked out and will be cited for failure to maintain control of his vehicle. Allen County EMA was called out, but since it was water in the tanker, there was no hazmat situation.
