6/8/22 Your News Now at 6 - The intersection of Kiracofe and Greenlawn Avenue in Elida will be closed for an extended period of time due to a tanker versus pole accident.
Authorities say that around noon, a tanker was traveling on Kiracofe Avenue when it turned onto Greenlawn Avenue, where it struck the curb and telephone pole.
The pole came to a rest on top of the tanker, bringing the traffic lights down near the concrete of the intersection. No one was injured in the crash.
It is currently unknown when traffic will be re-opened at the intersection, but authorities suggest that residents take alternate routes and avoid the area as they work on the scene. American Township Police, fire, and EMS, as well as the Elida Police Department, responded to the scene.
