Tony Hoffman spoke on his experiences, including his struggles with substance abuse and ending up in prison, getting sober and performing in the Olympics, and of course telling his story around the country. This talk was funded by money raised at the Andrew Elder Golf Scramble that was put on this summer, with the hopes that through hearing Hoffman's story, these students will make good decisions throughout their lives and prioritize their mental health.

Motivational speaker Tony Hoffman gave his life's story to an audience of students at Delphos St. John's. As someone who faced addiction head-on, he speaks with students about his experiences and motivates them to make a decision that could change their lives, for the better - and avoiding substances that can affect how they feel.
Last summer, the Elder and Ashby families held a special golf scramble to remember their loved one, Andrew Elder, who had lost his battle with addiction.
The money raised at that outing went towards drug and addiction education, and one way that was achieved was through motivational speaker Tony Hoffman stopping in to Van Wert to talk to students about his experiences in life.
