“We really chose the Lima Citizens Police Academy to really strengthen the relationship between our local law enforcement and our community,” said Samuel White Jr., project team lead for the class. “I believe there's a lot of negative perception around our police department, and so we really want to build that trust, that transparency with our police department with this academy.”

Secretary LaRose encourages inactive voters to confirm voter registration ahead of required removals
Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced today that his office has published a list of 352,389 inactive voter registrations eligible for removal from the Statewide Voter Registration Database.
Frank LaRose has served 2 terms at Ohio's Secretary of State and will be term limited out of office at the end of 2026.
The Platform Accountability and Transparency Act would require social media companies to provide independent researchers and the public with access to certain platform data.
