Tyler Dunlap entered a plea of guilty to three misdemeanor counts of assault, misconduct at an emergency, and resisting arrest. Dunlap entered his resignation from the Lima Police Department on December 30th of 2022. According to the Lima Law Director's Office, court records indicate that Dunlap obstructed an emergency call in Auglaize County.
Tyler Dunlap is facing one charge of obstructing official business, two counts of resisting arrest, and one count of misconduct at an emergency. He has pleaded not guilty on all of these counts. His trial is set to start in Auglaize County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday, February 8th. Dunlap was placed on administrative leave from the Lima Police Department following his arrest in Wapakoneta back in June of 2022.
Police Chief Angel Cortes has confirmed that officer Tyler Dunlap has been put on paid administrative leave pending the result of a criminal investigation surrounding an incident on Sunday, June 19th that led to his arrest. That investigation will be conducted by the Wapakoneta Police Department.

The chief expects that decision Wednesday. Dunlap was released from jail after Tuesday's hearing.
