Lima Police Officer Tyler Dunlap placed on paid administrative leave

A Lima police officer is now on administrative leave.

Police Chief Angel Cortes has confirmed that officer Tyler Dunlap has been put on paid administrative leave pending the result of a criminal investigation surrounding an incident on Sunday, June 19th that led to his arrest. That investigation will be conducted by the Wapakoneta Police Department.

Dunlap is facing 3 charges according to court records which include misconduct at an emergency, resisting arrest, and obstructing official business. He appeared for an initial appearance on Tuesday and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Tuesday, July 5th.
