LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — An 18-year-old has been indicted on multiple charges in connection with the death of a Lima teenager in July.
Chevion Snyder was indicted by an Allen County Grand Jury on charges of aggravated murder, murder, aggravated robbery, felonious assault and tampering with evidence. The charges stem from the shooting death of 15-year-old Damian Johnson.
On the afternoon of July 27, Johnson was taken by a personal vehicle to Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was pronounced dead shortly after. After reviewing surveillance video, Lima police detectives determined the shooting occurred in the 2000 block of North Metcalf Street.
Snyder’s case will be transferred from Allen County Juvenile Court to Allen County Common Pleas Court. He is expected to be arraigned on the charges within the next week.
