MIDDLE POINT (WLIO) — Lincolnview ended Continental’s eight-game winning streak in convincing fashion with an 11-0 victory in five innings.
The Lancers jumped ahead early with three runs in the first inning, despite a strikeout from Continental’s Gracie Homier to end the frame.
Lincolnview’s Ila Hughes took over from there, striking out the side in the first and finishing with 14 strikeouts in a dominant performance in the circle.
The Lancers added to the lead in the second inning. Emme Stevens delivered an RBI triple to center field that scored Quinlyn Walker, and Bella Hire later brought home Lainey Spear as part of a six-run inning.
Lincolnview stayed in control the rest of the way to secure the shutout win.
