VAN WERT (WLIO) — Bath used a seven-run fourth inning to turn the game around and beat Van Wert 10-6, improving to 2-0 in league play.
Van Wert pulled even in the third when Trevor Halker drove in Zander Coleman with a single up the middle. A few batters later, Camdyn Werts lined a hit into center field that brought home two more runs as the Cougars built a 5-2 lead.
Bath answered in the fourth after a pair of errors helped bring in two runs. Daniel Cole then tied the game with a deep fly ball off the wall in left field that scored Jacob Lepley. Eli Steed followed with a single that gave the Wildcats the lead as Bath sent seven runs across in the inning.
The Wildcats held on from there to earn the road win.
