Vantage students lent a hand and an arm for the annual United Way Day of Caring. Vantage students have been helping out the United Way of Van Wert County for over two decades during their day of caring. On Friday, they helped by giving blood and assisting the Red Cross at the blood drive. The students are glad that they took part in helping their community.

September 20, 2024, Press Release from the American Red Cross: VAN WERT, Ohio (September 20, 2024) – The community is invited to help save lives by donating blood at the Day of Caring blood drive. People can donate blood on Friday, September 27 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Trinity Friends Church, 605 North Franklin Street, Van Wert, OH, 45891. The Vantage Career Center is a career-technical school for 11th and 12th grade students in four counties in northwest Ohio. During the Day of Caring, students and community members participate in a food drive sponsored by United Way of Van Wert County for local food pantries and help patients in need by donating blood during the Red Cross blood drive.

22 students from Vantage Career Center in Van Wert, along with their instructors, joined the team at Tuttle Construction for their annual high school career day. The students go through different stations, getting hands-on experience with different aspects of construction work. Some students have already declared a specific skill set, but by working through some stations, they can become more well-rounded.
