Ohio Democratic gubernatorial candidate Dr. Amy Acton spoke Monday night at the Allen County Democratic Party’s “Dinner for Democracy.” Acton told the audience that her personal and professional experiences inspired her decision to run for Ohio governor against Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. Also speaking at the event were Democratic candidates for Ohio Secretary of State, Dr. Bryan Hambley and Dr. Allison Russo. Both candidates discussed their motivations for entering the race.

Republican gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy made a stop Tuesday night in St. Henry as he continues his campaign for the November 2026 Ohio governor’s race. As he travels through all 88 counties, Ramaswamy spoke with Your News Now about his plans leading up to the November 2026 election. As Ramaswamy continues his campaign, the issues of state property tax reform and crime in major Ohio cities remain hot topics. We asked him about his thoughts on both of those key issues.

Dave Yost sent a message to his supporters announcing that he is suspending his campaign. Yost was the first to enter the race, but entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy has since launched his own campaign for the seat.

He is calling it a "Trifecta of Republican Politics" that will be highlighting the Allen County Republican Party barbecue. Allen County Republican chair Keith Cheney announced Thursday that Florida Governor Ron Desantis, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and United States Senate candidate Bernie Moreno will be the speakers at the barbecue rally. Both Desantis and Ramaswamy dropped out of the presidential race early to support Trump, and Cheney says it's fortunate that we could get all three of them to attend.
