An Ohio Highway State Patrol Cruiser was involved in what appeared to be a two-vehicle crash on Lima's north side Monday evening. The Lima Police Department is investigating multiple gunshots fired on the city's north end on Sunday evening. Shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, officers from the Lima Police Department responded in the vicinity of North Cole Street and West Robb Avenue for a shots fired call. Initial investigations have discovered that a group of subjects were on foot and another group of subjects were in a vehicle. One of the subjects on foot fired more than 10 gunshots toward the vehicle, with the rest of the group fleeing on foot. The vehicle also fled the area, but as the vehicle fled, someone inside appeared to have returned gunfire. Currently, there are no known injuries.
The Allen County Sheriff's Office is trying to identify the suspects that robbed the Family Dollar on West Robb Avenue last night.
