A two vehicle accident caused some traffic headaches this morning on Lima's northwest side.
The accident around 8 a.m. Thursday morning on West Robb Avenue near Melrose Street. According to Lima Police, traffic was stopped on the westbound side of Robb for a school bus. The driver of the black SUV was not paying attention to the conditions and hit the back right side of the stopped Honda. Police say the driver tried to avoid hitting the Honda by swerving off to the right into a grassy area at the last second.
The driver and two children inside the SUV walked away on their own, but were taken to the hospital with injuries. The driver of the Honda suffered minor injuries. A witness told police she did not think the children were wearing their seatbelts.
All lanes of Robb were reopened about an hour after the call for the accident came in.
