UPDATE: As of 5:41 PM on Tuesday, an all-clear has been called for the campus. It will remain closed until 7 AM on Wednesday.

ADA, Ohio (WLIO) - Ohio Northern University was evacuated Tuesday afternoon following a bomb threat to the school.

The university posted that there was a bomb threat just after 2 PM on Tuesday. Area law enforcement conducted a building by building search of the campus. University moved quickly to get students and staff off campus before the search began, some of the students were brought to Ada High School while the search went on.

"We received a bomb threat this afternoon, potentially affecting all of campus, so, out of abundance of caution, we did close and evacuate," said Dave Kielmeyer, communications director at ONU. "We appreciate the help of Ada High School; we sent students, faculty, and staff that weren't able to go somewhere else there, and law enforcement is on scene, and we're clearing campus building by building."
