The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is looking into the circumstances behind a fatal accident on Tuesday at Resource Recycling, located on Neubrecht Road in Lima. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, an employee was working on a conveyor around 45 feet off the ground when it was turned on. Officials say the employee fell to their death.

The longest running picnic in Auglaize County returns yet for another year Friday in New Bremen! The New Bremen Firemen's Picnic kicked off Friday afternoon with the "Firemen's Memorial 5K Fun Run" along with food and beverages. Since 1921, the firemen's picnic gives a chance for the New Bremen German Township Fire Department to connect with the community they serve. While building the family atmosphere, the picnic also helps raise funds to support the fire department allowing firefighters to strengthen their equipment and services in the event a neighbor needs help.

BWC’s grant program is accepting applications for three grants: the Safety Intervention Grant (SIG), the Firefighter Exposure to Environmental Elements Grant (FEEEG), and the School Safety and Security Grant (SSSG).
