It wasn't quite Santa's sleigh but it sure was full of Christmas cheer.

The Lima New Country 92.1 The Frog's van pulled up to Allen County Children Services building Wednesday morning. It was delivering all the goods raised during their "Care-a-Van" event held on Tuesday. Bag after bag and box after box were unloaded to be sorted and delivered to children in the agency's Adopt-A-Family program. Organizers say they were pleased with the community support for the project.

"A few years, ago we actually adopted an individual family and delivered it and that was really really hard to see so what we wanted to do was do something and make an even greater impact because we do have the power of the radio waves where we can help get the community organized and energized to donate to such a great organization," said Victoria Gonzalez, 92.1 Co-Host.

"We still had families come in, the families that come into our agencies they just don't stop, and sometimes we also identify families that something comes up and they have a need or they won't be able to provide Christmas, so the gifts that are coming today they're going to offset that," explained Greg Sowinski, Allen County Children Services Communication Coordinator.

The agency had more than 200 children receiving gifts from nearly 75 sponsors for this year's Adopt-A-Family program.
