Allen County Commissioners doing some housekeeping at a special session on Friday morning.
As required by the Ohio Revised Code, the board of commissioners must vote for a new president and vice president at the start of each year, which allows them to conduct business, and the first thing on the agenda was the approval of the 2025 General Fund budget.
"The budget came in at just about $37 million this year. Which is fairly close to where we were at the year before. We presented a draft budget in December to our elected officials and department heads. And as we moved forward today, there were really no surprises, which is always a good thing," said Brian Winegardner, 2025 president, Allen County Board of Commissioners.
The first thing on the agenda was the approval of the 2025 General Fund budget.
Commissioners will keep an eye on the budget with monthly updates to see where they stand throughout the year.
