FINDLAY, Ohio (WLIO) — Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. will close its Tall Timbers mold facility in Findlay, a move that will impact 85 workers.
The company told Your News Now it is consolidating its two U.S. mold facilities into a single location in Statesville, North Carolina. As a result, the Findlay mold facility will shut down.
Goodyear said it is committed to treating all impacted associates with fairness, respect and transparency throughout the transition process.
The Tall Timbers mold facility is expected to close by March 31. The decision does not include Goodyear’s other plants in Findlay.
Akron-based Goodyear acquired Findlay-based Cooper Tire in 2021, creating the world’s third-largest tire manufacturer.
