LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – ArtSpace/Lima is kicking off a new program aimed at giving area kids something fun to do after school.
The After-School Art Program debuted with children drawing while also touring the ArtSpace galleries. In the coming weeks, participants will be introduced to painting, sculpture, clay and other mixed media projects. As the kids explore the artistic world, they can engage their creative side while staying entertained.

"It's a nice way to have some creativity without strict boundaries, and it's also a good time for kids to get off their electronics and explore something that they can see in their space right now. So, we like to be able to incorporate both of those things," says Sally Windle, Executive Director, ArtSpace/Lima.
Windle said there is a waiting list, but they may adjust the current 3 to 5 p.m. daily session. She encourages parents to call to check if openings are available.
