ArtSpace/Lima prepares for 37th Annual Kewpee High School Invitational Exhibit

This year, art students from 22 schools have submitted 215 pieces created across nine different mediums and categories.

ArtSpace/Lima is currently setting up canvases and other artistic pieces for the 37th annual Kewpee High School Invitational Art Exhibit. This year, art students from 22 schools have submitted 215 pieces created across nine different mediums and categories. With students stepping out of the classroom and into a professional art setting, the exhibit offers them a chance to experience the art world while embracing their creativity.

“This is a great career, and art can be applied, and creativity can be applied in so many different other areas... but this is something that doesn't have to be only for the few. This is something that people can walk in to, especially in this area, and see their work presented, so we want to give them that first taste of this is what it's like and not just a lot of pictures for one day on one wall. This is an exhibit, and we like to keep it up in the same level that we have our other exhibits,” says Sally Windle, Executive Director, ArtSpace/Lima.
