LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – The Lima Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol released the results of its Friday night OVI checkpoint.
The checkpoint ran from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on State Route 81, where troopers checked 286 vehicles. Three vehicles were diverted for further investigation, and one OVI arrest was made. Law enforcement officers conducting saturation patrols near the checkpoint also made an additional OVI arrest. The Allen County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the checkpoint. Troopers want to remind people not to drive impaired by drugs or alcohol, and if you are impaired, to designate a sober driver.
