Since its inception, 1,274 scholarships have been presented to individuals pursuing educational opportunities to better their lives.

"A lot of these individuals have had to struggle," said Judge Richard Warren, a member of the Lima Rotary Club. "Maybe they're a single parent, they've got a couple kids, they're not receiving any support, and they want to go back to school to better themselves. This is what the scholarship committee and what Rotary is all about."

Warren said the Rotary Club hopes to continue providing scholarships for another 25 years and beyond.
