LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - A longtime supporter of Lima and generous giver to many well known projects in the city has died.

Leo Hawk was co-founder of what is now known as American Trim, formerly known as Lima Tool and Die and Superior Metal Products. In 1990, Leo and his wife Arlene founded the Ar-Hale Foundation which supported such projects as the Lima Senior High School, Lima Stadium Park, the new aquatic center and the LCC baseball field.

Hawk was also a strong supporter of the United Way of Greater Lima, serving as campaign chair in 1969-70. He was a Jefferson Award Winner, a Paul Harris fellow through Rotary, and a member of the LCC Hall of Fame. Leo Hawk died on Sunday, March 22 at the age of 92.
