SPENCERVILLE, Ohio (WLIO) – The Village of Spencerville is seeing some business growth as county commissioners approved a requested annexation.

After Chuffer's Pizza joined forces with the local Shell station as their new location late last year, the old building was made available for two new businesses. On Tuesday, Spencerville's Village Administrator appeared before the Allen County Commissioners to seek approval for the annexation of property in the 13,000 block of Spencerville Road into the village. While the annexed property is just under an acre, officials see it as a positive step for the village.

"Obviously, you know, every business helps. If we can continue to keep up a good pace, you know, who knows what the future can hold for us?" said Ben Suever, Spencerville Village Administrator.

By Design Spencerville and The Barker Shop of Spencerville are the new tenants now calling the village home.
