On Saturday one area organization hosted its annual community yard sale, an event that helps fund a youth program.
There were close to ten vendors at the Bradfield Community Center's community yard sale.
Clothes, jewelry, and house items were just some of the things available for people to buy today. The money raised from this event will go towards helping with transportation for the center's summer program.
“We’re doing field trips sometimes twice a week and with that, of course, we need money for transportation,” said Bliss Hairston, the summer program lead teacher. “With the rental of the table that will allow us the extra money to rent two or three passenger vans to make sure that we get there.”
The summer youth program runs from June until August.
