CELINA, OHÂ (WLIO) Downtown Celina was a busy place today as the Celina Lake Festival kicked off.
Large crowds of people headed to the shorelines of Grand Lake Saint Marys to enjoy the festivities of the Celina Lake Festival. Friday evening at 7:45 PM, the festival got things started with the highly anticipated Amphicar Splash In. An amphicar is a hybrid of a car and a boat meaning that you can drive on dry land and in water.
Dozens of amphicars drove right off the docks and into the water. 10 PM Friday Evening, a fireworks show lit up the night sky. The Celina Lake Festival will run all weekend with a 5K Saturday morning at 8 am, the Grand Parade at 6:30 PM Saturday, and an all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast Sunday morning at 8:30 AM.
