Children's book author shares technique with Temple Christian students

Temple Christian School is celebrating reading for the entire month of March.

Wednesday the school had a very special visitor. The children’s book author Karen Seelenbinder is bringing a passion for God to her readers in a whimsical fashion. Her main goal is to help children understand the word of God, and how to incorporate it into their lives. She will be signing books, reading, and share a writing workshop with all of the Temple Christian students.

“I always talk about a seed idea- Where do my ideas come from to write a book. And so I start with that and then I incorporate the Bible verse within the book into the character’s speech and make it come alive,” said Karen Seelenbinder, Children's Book Author.

The school is also decorated with a tropical ambiance to stay positive about March’s wild weather as well as to bring joy and warmth into the month dedicated to reading. The student body gets to participate in "Fun Activity Fridays" to encourage students to strive to read their goal of at least 400 minutes for the entire month.
