Many of the birds featured in the show are currently or used to be endangered species.

The Extreme Raptors show is a free experience that lets audience members get up close and personal with different birds like owls and vultures from around the globe. The show teaches about the different diets and habitats of each bird, their unique abilities, like a strong sense of smell, and how a falconer trains their animals.

Many of the birds featured in the show are currently or used to be endangered species. The show lets people see for themselves how stunning raptors are and why we need to protect them.

"Some of them are still endangered. Mostly, that's due to habitat; it used to be pesticide poisoning that was really taking a toll on a lot of these raptors. But those raptors, like the bald eagle and the peregrine falcon, they've actually made a big comeback since we banned DDT and another pesticide, so they're doing good. It's the birds from the rainforest and places like that where their habitat is in danger that they're having a hard time," explained Jonathan Wood, who runs the show through his company Raptor Project.

You can see Extreme Raptors for free every day of the fair at Roschman Park at 1:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m.
