FINDLAY, Ohio (WLIO) – An 83-year-old woman died Monday after she was struck in the parking lot of a gas station in Findlay.

Hancock County Sheriff’s deputies say Leah Feay, of Findlay, was hit by Carrie Reimer, 55, also of Findlay, at the Speedway Gas Station on Tiffin Avenue. At 11:32 a.m., Feay was leaving the store, and Reimer was driving away from the pumps when the incident happened. Feay died from her injuries. The investigation is ongoing into the incident.

On July 28 2025 at approximately 1132am the Hancock County Sheriff's Office responded to Speedway at 2001 Tiffin Ave Findlay, for a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.

It was learned that Leah Feay (83 YOA of Findlay) was exiting the store, on foot. Carrie Reimer (55 YOA of Findlay) was driving a 2020 Buick SUV. Carrie began to drive away from the gas pump, attempting to leave the property. Carrie's vehicle and Leah collided in the parking lot in front of the store.

As a result of the crash, Leah was pronounced deceased at BVH by medical professionals.

Neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected to be a factor.

Assisting on scene were Hanco EMS, Washington Twp Fire Department, Findlay Fire Department, and Dicks Towing.

The investigation is ongoing by the Hancock County Sheriff's Office.
