LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The Lima Family YMCA is offering a free fun day for area youth and their families.
The Lima Family YMCA's annual Healthy Kids Day is the place to get your kids active. The YMCA will be full of activities and booths that will get them moving and let them know what they can participate in this summer to keep them busy.
"It's always an effort to compete against screens and video games. We try and make all of our activities as fun as possible, and with "Y" sports, everybody plays, everybody wins, so they're not just sitting on the bench. We're trying to make it fun for everybody. And showcasing other things that kids can do around the Lima area is what this Healthy Kids Day is all about too," explained Terri Averesch, vice president of the Lima Family YMCA.
There will also be giveaways and raffle prizes.
Again, Healthy Kids Day is this Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lima Family YMCA, located at 345 S Elizabeth St, Lima, OH 45801.
