It’s the great American pastime and one team has called Lima Allen County home for 35 years.
The Lima Locos are ready to throw out the first pitch at their home opener Friday night. Friday marks the start of another season of family fun games. They play at Simmons Field along the banks of the Ottawa river. There are many family-oriented promotions that they have during home games and encourage everyone to come out and enjoy some good baseball.
Head Coach Matt Furuto says, “We love having kids and families come out because we want these kids to grow up and play for us. And so, we want to be great examples for them. And so just having people around is awesome and we try to have good events. Our players play hard, and we have good talent so it’s a fun event overall.
Friday night is their home opener at 7:05 pm at Simmons Field which starts a long stretch of home games. You can find their schedule online or on social media.
