The City of Lima Income Tax Department is ready to assist residents in filing their city taxes.
They are open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm on the first floor of the city building at 50 town square. The deadline to file taxes has been pushed to Monday, April 18th due to the 15th being on the Good Friday Holiday. The important thing they stress is to make sure that you file on time.
Taxation supervisor Chris Fast explains, “There is a late filing fee and that’s irregardless of whether you owe any money it’s based on the filing, and it is $25 a month, the max up to $150, and it goes into effect the day after the filing deadline.”
They will be open Saturday, April 9th from 9 am to 1 pm to offer additional hours to assist you.
