One man is taken into custody after threatening to jump from the roof of a local motel.
That threat caused quite a bit of first responder activity on the east side. The response had many passerbys wondering what was happening. Allen County Sheriff's Deputies and other first responders were called to the Motel 6 off 309 just before 3 p.m. Monday afternoon. They found a man who was distraught and threatening to jump from the first floor roof of the motel. Deputies at the scene initially kept their distance, but eventually were able to talk the man into surrendering without incident.
Witnesses on the scene said the man was concerned about being sent back to Mexico.
