SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP, OH (WLIO) - The Nutrien warehouse project is making progress today.
The Shawnee Township Board of Trustees held a special meeting of the board this morning to pass an enterprise zone agreement for Nutrien's proposed warehouse project.
The Shawnee Township Board of Trustees held a special meeting of the board this morning to pass an enterprise zone agreement for Nutrien's proposed warehouse project. The facility will store parts and other materials that come in for maintenance work.
These types of investments do a lot for Shawnee Township.
Shawnee Township gave a 10-year 50% tax abatement to Nutrien for their project.
"We want businesses to come to Shawnee Township. That will help with the roads, the fire department, and police department. It creates a better environment for us. It also creates money for us to operate and do the services we need to do for our residents," stated Joe Recker, Shawnee Township trustee.
