For the fifteenth consecutive year, Nutrien’s Lima nitrogen facility has been honored with the 2025 Award for Excellence in Environmental, Health, Safety and Security.
The grant is open to any 501(c)(3) organization located in Allen County or one of its adjacent counties. To qualify, the proposed project must be completed within 12 months of receiving the funds. Applications will be accepted through June 30.

The Nutrien warehouse project is making progress today. The Shawnee Township Board of Trustees held a special meeting of the board this morning to pass an enterprise zone agreement for Nutrien's proposed warehouse project. The facility will store parts and other materials that come in for maintenance work. These types of investments do a lot for Shawnee Township.

It wouldn't be the Christmas season without great light displays. There are only two more weeks left to check out the "Bright Nights Display" at the Allen County Fairgrounds. The annual event has more than 200 LED displays lit up around the fairgrounds, along with the trees, buildings, and a light tunnel. It takes around 20 to 25 minutes to get through the entire display. Organizers say thanks to plenty of local sponsors, the event keeps getting bigger and better each year.
