Nutrien Lima Nitrogen celebrates 70 Years with $70,000 grant for local non-profit

To qualify, the proposed project must be completed within 12 months of receiving the funds.

The grant is open to any 501(c)(3) organization located in Allen County or one of its adjacent counties. To qualify, the proposed project must be completed within 12 months of receiving the funds. Applications will be accepted through June 30. What makes this grant unique is how the recipient will be chosen — not by corporate leadership, but by the employees of Nutrien Lima.

“Our 210 employees are going to vote,” said Russ Decker, manager of special projects at Nutrien Lima. “They’ll make the selection. So it won’t be a decision made at a corporate level or by our leadership at the plant. It’s going to be all of our employees having a say on what project they want to invest the money in.”

Organizations interested in applying for the grant can find more information by emailing lima70th@nutrien.com. The deadline to submit applications is June 30.
