Perry School Board Looks to Fill Superintendent's Shoes

One local school has big shoes to fill as they begin their search for a superintendent.

After ten years serving as superintendent for the Perry Local School District, Omer Schroeder's announcement to retire has begun a search for his successor. Schroeder has certainly left an endearing impact on the staff, students and Perry community as he has spent a total of 36 years within the system. Luckily for the Perry School Board, they are getting a little bit of help with the hunt for their new superintendent.

According to the President of the Perry School Board, Rusty Rush, the Allen County Education Service Center will be working to put together a list of candidates to ease some of the burden during the transition. Rush and the rest of the School Board understand it will be difficult, but hope to move forward from Schroeder's departure with the best candidate the E.S.C. can find.
